Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship Award Latest Recipient 

(GREENVILLE, SC JANUARY 11, 2024) The Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship Organization is pleased to announce the recipient of its year end 2023 scholarship, Fernando Ramirez. This scholarship— in honor of the late Ted Rollins and his wife, Holly—is awarded to one deserving high school senior who needs a helping hand toward their college tuition.

The scholarship winner—Fernando Ramirez— is a first-generation student at Phoebus High in Hampton, Virginia, with the plan of pursuing a degree in biology to become an Anesthesiologist. He is passionate about blazing a trail for others, especially in the Dominican Republic, where he hopes to be a shining example for young minds.

He has been involved in a handful of activities, such as lending a hand through Project Alpha at First Baptist Church and spending a summer volunteering at Riverside Regional Medical Center. With a scholarship, he'll not only make his college dreams a reality but will use his education to make a meaningful impact on the world.

Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship Award Latest Recipient 

(GREENVILLE, SC JULY 11, 2023) The Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship Organization is pleased to announce the recipient of its Fall 2023 scholarship, Audrey Smallwood. This scholarship— in honor of the late Ted Rollins and his wife, Holly—is awarded to one deserving high school senior who needs a helping hand toward their college tuition. 

The scholarship winner—Audrey Smallwood— is an incoming freshman at Boston College pursuing a career in child bereavement support. She will be majoring in applied psychology and human development with a minor in management for social impact and the public good.

With the help of the Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship, Audrey is able to pursue her dream of making grief support a more accessible resource for children and their families. After the loss of her father, Audrey had the privilege of experiencing the gift of not grieving alone, and she’s committed her life to sharing that gift with as many people as possible.

(GREENVILLE, SC JANUARY 5, 2023) The Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship Organization is pleased to announce the recipient of its Spring 2023 scholarship, Ellie Strong. This scholarship— in honor of the late Ted Rollins and his wife, Holly—is awarded to one deserving high school senior who needs a helping hand toward their college tuition.

With a passion for global advocacy, Ellie will begin her college career in Fall 2023 and pursue a double-major in economics and international politics. She hopes to use the Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship to support her undergraduate studies, as she prepares for a career of advocacy for underserved groups in the corporate world, especially women and girls.

The entry process for the next Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship is now open, with an application deadline of June 1, 2023.

Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship Organization Awards First Scholarship

(GREENVILLE, SC JULY 7, 2022) The Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship Organization is pleased to announce the first ever recipient of its annual scholarship, Ayanna Robinson. This scholarship— in honor of the late Ted Rollins and his wife, Holly—is awarded to one deserving high school senior who needs a helping hand toward their college tuition.

Starting this fall, Robinson will be attending Nebraska Wesleyan University. She plans to major in political science and criminal justice with hopes to one day become a public defender. The entry process for the next Ted & Holly Rollins Scholarship will begin January 1, 2023, with an application deadline of June 1, 2023.

In October 2021, the Ted & Holly Rollins Organization was formed to provide a scholarship each spring, open to students nationally. This scholarship honors the late Ted Rollins’ and his wife Holly Rollins’ vision to provide scholarship funding to aspiring students, many of whom are disadvantaged, yet excel academically despite their obstacles.
